The inauguration of the photography exhibition by Kyriakos Kyriakos entitled "365 Sunrises in Kapparis" was successfully held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Events Hall of the Paralimni - Deryneia Town Hall, as part of the Winter of Culture activities of the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia.

The exhibition, dedicated to the daily capture of dawn on the beaches of Kapparis, gathered a large number of visitors, who had the opportunity to browse through images that highlight the special light and natural beauty of the area.

The President of the Central Board of Directors of the Cyprus Confederation of Disabled Persons' Organizations (KYSOA), Ms. Themida Anthopoulou, delivered a welcome address, while the opening was held by the Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia, Mr. George Nikolettos, under whose auspices the exhibition is being held.

In his greeting, the Mayor underlined that Protaras is internationally famous not only for its eighteen Blue Flag beaches – the most in Cyprus – and for the distinction of Fig Tree Bay as the only Cypriot beach among the 19 best in Europe, but also for the first sunrise in Europe. At the same time, he congratulated the creator for the consistency, dedication and deep love with which he captured the dawn of our country for an entire year, highlighting with artistic sensitivity the identity of the region.

The exhibition will remain open to the public until March 9, 2026, with free admission.
