The concert of the Famagusta Traditional Music Orchestra, a cultural ensemble of the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia, was held with great success on Friday, May 22, 2026, at the packed Paralimni Municipal Amphitheater "Kyriakos Pelagia".
Under the musical direction of Michalis Kouloumis, the Orchestra presented a rich program, which included traditional musical pieces from Cyprus and Greece, as well as original compositions by the conductor himself, offering the audience a unique musical experience.
In his greeting, the Mayor of Paralimni-Dheryne praised the significant cultural value and contribution of the Famagusta Traditional Music Orchestra, noting that its presence and action contribute substantially to the preservation, promotion and transmission of the musical tradition of our country. At the same time, he congratulated the president, members, conductor and musicians for the high level of their work and for their consistent contribution to culture.
The concert was honored with their presence by the Minister of Justice and Public Order, Mr. Costas Fytiris, and the Director of the Deputy Ministry of Culture, Mr. Giorgos Papageorgiou.
