The Cyprus Chess Federation (KYSO), in collaboration with the Famagusta Chess Club and the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia, organized the 2025 Pancyprian Inter-Association Chess Championship, on Sunday, October 19, 2025, in the events hall of the Paralimni - Deryneia Municipal Hall.
In his greeting, the Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia, Giorgos Nikolettos, expressed the joy and honor of the Municipality to host such an important spiritual event, emphasizing that chess is not just a game, but an exercise in strategy, discipline and creative thinking that cultivates the mind and shapes characters.
He emphasized that the Municipality consistently supports every initiative that strengthens the education, culture and intellectual cultivation of young people, while he warmly congratulated the Cyprus Chess Federation.
