The Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia announces that on Monday, August 10, 2026, it received the Planning Permit for the implementation of the paving and renovation project of the Central Core of Paralimni.
Securing the permit is an important step for the implementation of a project that is part of the overall plan for the upgrade and reform of the city center.
The design includes, among other things, the replacement of the existing road surface, the upgrading and creation of sidewalks, new tree plantings and green spaces, store and visitor service areas, as well as the configuration of parking lots.
The goal is to create a modern, functional and accessible urban environment, which will improve the daily life of residents, enhance commercial and social activity and upgrade the image of Paralimni towards visitors.
At the same time, through the design, the aim is to highlight the city's unique identity, with respect for the history, tradition and collective memory of the citizens.
The new Central Square, in combination with the redevelopment of the Central Core and the creation of the Multi-Storey Parking Lot, aspires to be a modern project of European standards and a new point of reference for Paralimni and future generations.
After securing the Planning Permit, the final construction plans and the necessary technical studies will be completed, as well as the process of issuing the Building Permit. Upon completion of the required approvals, the project implementation process will proceed.
