101 migrants were aboard the boat which was located east of Cape Greco.

According to police, the boat, about 15 meters long, was carrying a total of 101 migrants, and was found sailing 5 nautical miles east of Cape Cape Greco.

A porter of the Port and Maritime Police went to the area and approached the boat, while a second akaton went to provide assistance.

All national plans regarding the arrival of illegal immigrants were activated while all relevant services were informed.

The boat was taken to the Golden Coast fishing shelter in Protaras where the migrants were assisted and their details were recorded.

The boat was carrying a total of 13 women, including 4 pregnant women, 43 minors, of whom 9 unaccompanied and 45 men.

The boat was located by the coastal radio-tagging system of the Port Police in Limassol.
