The Police and Fire Department were mobilized in the early hours of August 15th, following a fire that broke out at a motorcycle and vehicle rental shop in the Protaras area.
According to a Police announcement, the fire broke out around 4:00 in the morning of Saturday, August 15. Police members rushed to the scene for examinations, as well as Fire Department forces, who proceeded to extinguish the fire.
The fire destroyed a number of four-wheeled motorcycles, as well as buggy-type vehicles that were on the premises.
Police examinations so far indicate that this was a malicious act, as evidence has emerged that points to arson.
The scene was sealed off and at first light of day, examinations by members of the Police and Fire Department continued, aiming to determine the exact circumstances and causes of the fire.
The case is being investigated by the Famagusta Police Department.
