PROTARAS: "Green light" for a new hotel unit on "Vrysi" beach

Last November, the Environmental Authority gave the "green light" to a hotel unit under study in the northern part of "Vrysi" beach in Protaras. It is a three-star hotel unit, with a total area of ​​6.551 sq.m. which falls into a tourist zone T1e with a permitted number of floors not exceeding three.

According to the information submitted, the proposed building will be erected on the northwest part of the lot and will consist of a basement, ground floor and four floors.

Specifically, it will include:

  • 89 guest beds
    • 5 beds for the disabled on the ground floor
    • 84 beds on the remaining four floors, 21 beds on each floor
  • 23 parking spaces
    • 3 parking spaces and 3 for the disabled on the ground floor
    • 17 parking spaces in the basement
  • Engine rooms
  • Toilets and changing rooms for visitors and staff
  • Staff dining area
  • Kitchen, preparation room, food preparation areas
  • Warehouse
  • Office spaces
  • Reception area and luggage area
  • Lounge
  • Bar
  • Breakfast room and restaurant
  • Two artificial water features
    • Outdoor swimming pools
  • External landscaped areas with a total area of ​​1.680 sq.m.

Access will be via Protara and Lefkola streets. The project will be supplied with water from the local water mains while the municipal waste water will be discharged to the local Sewerage Board.
