In the presence of a large number of people and in an atmosphere of religious fervour, the ceremony of Consecration of the Waters was held in the Municipality of Paralimni, on the day of the great feast of Epiphany.
The diving of the Holy Cross took place on the beach next to the chapel of Apostolos Andreas in the area of Nissi in Protaras, where young and old entered the sea to take the Holy Cross and receive his blessing.
The Consecration of the Waters ceremony was preceded by the Divine Liturgy of the feast of the Epiphany in all the Churches of the parishes of our Municipality, while a diving ceremony of the Holy Cross was also held on Thursday morning in the chapel of Agios Nikolaos in the fishing shelter and marina of Paralimni.
