Yesterday, Friday (15/9) around 13:30, a call was received for a fire in a small reedbed near the parking lot of an apartment complex in Protaras.
The fire spread to an adjacent parked vehicle, which was damaged in the front.
The Famagusta Fire Station responded with two fire trucks to extinguish the fire, while the fire was brought under control at 13:46.
The circumstances under which the fire broke out are being investigated in cooperation with the Police, without ruling out the possibility that the fire started from the burning of burning coals by unknown persons in the reedbed.
