A resolution to the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia was submitted by a delegation of the student councils of the four Primary Schools of Paralimni to the Mayor Mr. George Nicolettos.
In the resolution, the students asked the Municipality to make every possible effort for the reunification of our island. As the students stated in their resolution, "We want a Cyprus without armies and barbed wire, a free and united Cyprus", requesting that the Municipality make every possible effort to keep the desire for return unquenched.
Mr. Nicolettos applauded the students' initiative pointing out that such actions prove that the students are particularly aware and informed about the Cyprus problem, which is also due to the significant effort made by the teachers themselves towards this end. As he mentioned, the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia is a Municipality that is experiencing the problem of occupation and refugees and that every possible action is being taken to inform and raise awareness in Cyprus and abroad.
