In a climate of emotion and pride, the inauguration took place on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
of the reconstructed building of the Paralimni High School by the Minister of Justice and Publicity
Order of Mr. Costas Fytiris, in the presence of the Mayor of Paralimni-Dheryneia, Mr. Giorgos
Nicoletou.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education, Sports and
Youth, the State, the Local Government, the Church, the Technical Services of
Minister of Education, Members of Parliament of the Famagusta district, as well as teachers, parents and members of the wider community
educational community, underlining the importance of the event.
The event began in the courtyard of the reconstructed building with the customary blessing, the
which was performed by His Holiness Metropolitan of Constantia and Famagusta, Mr. Vasileios. It was followed by
the cutting of the ribbon and the unveiling of the commemorative plaque, which will adorn the entrance
of the school.
Afterwards, the ceremony was moved to the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Paralimni High School,
where, after the greetings, the speech of the Honorable Minister of Justice and Publicity followed
Order of the Order, Mr. Costas Fitiris, as well as the awarding of honorary commemorative plaques. The procedure

The reconstruction of the Paralimni High School building is a project of particular importance for the
local community, as it substantially upgrades the infrastructure of public education and
ensures a modern, safe and functional learning environment for students and
female students.
