In serious condition, a boy from Paralimni after a car accident

A 5,5-year-old boy who was injured in a car accident on Monday near Xylofagou, which is the territory of the British Base of Dhekelia, is being treated at Makareio Hospital, with a blow to the head.

According to the Police of the British Bases of Dhekelia around 3 in the afternoon of Monday, November 6, a car driven by a mother from Paralimni with her three children aged 2,5, 5,5 and 12, was moving on the highway in the direction of Ayia Napa to Larnaca.

Under conditions that are being investigated, despite the exit of Xylofagos, the mother lost control of the car, as a result of which she crashed into the central railing of the highway.

As a result of the collision, the 5,5-year-old boy, who was tied to the child seat, hit his head and was transported by ambulance to the TAEP of the Larnaca General Hospital.

However, due to the criticality of his condition, the boy was transported to Makareio Hospital in Nicosia. The boy's health condition is serious but out of danger.

Both the mother and the other two children were not injured in the collision of the car on the main railing of the highway.

The circumstances under which the accident took place are being investigated by the Police of the British Bases of Dhekelia.
