The contract for the provision of consulting services for the study and supervision of the construction of the Conference - Cultural Center of the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia, in the Municipal District of Paralimni, was signed on Monday, June 15, 2026, by the Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia, Mr. George Nikolettos, and the Director of the company Dion. Toumazis & Associates LLC, Ms. Dimitra Toumazis Hadjiloizi.
The project, with an estimated construction value of 9 million euros, is planned, in all phases of its completion, to include a modern event hall and conference center with a thousand seats, a 1.500 square meter exhibition space, an art gallery, a Technology Museum, an outdoor exhibition space, an outdoor event space with a 300-seat amphitheater, a research laboratory, a library, a reading room and a researcher accommodation area.
The design also includes classrooms and seminar rooms, cultural workshop spaces, dance and music rooms, a fashion show room, a restaurant - cafeteria, as well as additional spaces, such as dressing rooms, rehearsal and set preparation areas, translators' rooms, an audiovisual control room, offices, a warehouse, a cloakroom and sanitary areas.
As the Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia stated, this specific project lays the foundations for the substantial enrichment of the Municipality's cultural infrastructure, through a major project that was a long-standing request of the citizens and residents of the area.
This is the largest planned infrastructure for culture, education and tourism in the region, which will offer the possibility of creating an events space that will be among the largest in Cyprus and will contribute to the provision of upgraded services to citizens and residents.
