A delegation of Paralimni's candidacy is in Brussels for the penultimate - and most critical - stage of the process before the announcement of the final result for the European Youth Capital 2028.
The delegation is composed of members of the Paralimni Youth:
President Georgia Klefti,
Vice President Giorgos Hadjeracleous,
Secretary Irene Poyiadji,
Press Secretary Martinos Kyriacou,
Marketing Manager Giorgos Moustakas,
Former President Constantinos Karas,
as well as the Deputy Mayor of Paralimni – representative of the Municipality of Paralimni-Deryneia – Kleanthis Koutsoftas.
The presentation of the final text of the application will be held on Wednesday, November 19, at 13:00 PM (Cyprus local time), before the competent committee, by the president of the Paralimni Youth, Georgia Klefti, and the Deputy Mayor of Paralimni, Kleanthis Koutsoftas.
It is noted that the delegation of Paralimni's candidacy for the European Youth Capital 2028 held a meeting today with a group of Cypriot MEPs at the European Parliament, in preparation for the presentation of the final application before the competent committee. During the meeting, the objectives of the candidacy, the priorities of the youth of Paralimni and the European perspectives that open up for the local community were discussed.
The delegation continues its presence in Brussels with a series of meetings and activities in view of the final stage of the process.

On Thursday, November 20, the delegation will participate in a series of experiential workshops together with European youth groups, gaining experiences, new practices and creating valuable bonds of cooperation.
Furthermore, on Friday, November 21, the last day of the presence in Brussels, the Paralimni delegation will meet with the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Cyprus in Brussels and a meeting will be held with those responsible for youth issues of the European Union.
