A broad meeting on the free province of Famagusta was held on Monday, May 11, 2026, at the Paralimni - Deryneia Town Hall, under the Minister of Justice and Public Order, Mr. Costas Fitiris, and the Deputy Minister of Immigration and International Protection, Mr. Nikolas Ioannidis, with the participation of the Police, the Fire Department and other relevant services.
The discussion focused on issues of public safety, delinquency, degraded facilities and noise pollution, which affect the daily lives of citizens and the smooth functioning of the area.
The meeting was held in a constructive atmosphere, aiming to strengthen coordination between the competent bodies, improve the quality of life of citizens, as well as upgrade the image and functionality of the tourist area.
