The artistic event entitled "Notes in the Sand..." was held with great success on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Paralimni High School.
The event, which accompanied the unveiling ceremony of the project "Window of Memory", included musical, dance and theatrical performances, recitations and screenings, through which the school's students took the audience on a moving journey of memories and nostalgia for Famagusta, the city that, although enslaved, remains alive in everyone's souls.
The speaker at the event was Mr. Panagiotis Antoniou, President of the Educational Service Committee, who referred to the importance of historical memory and the role of the new generation as a carrier of hope and regeneration for the future.
The event was held under the auspices of the Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia, Mr. Giorgos Nikolettos, and is part of the long-standing goal of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth "I do not forget and I fight".
The Mayor, during his greeting, expressed his emotion for the power of art to keep memory and hope alive, emphasizing that "young people transform pain into creation and history into a vision for tomorrow. Famagusta lives through the voice, gaze and soul of our children."
