Mayor Mr. George Nikolettos met with the Deputy Mayor of the Polish city of Radom, Dr. Katarzyna Kalinowska, at the Paralimni - Deryneia Town Hall.
During the meeting, the issue of cooperation between the Polish city and the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia was discussed, as well as the possible twinning between the two cities.
Present at the meeting was Mr. Grzegorz Tuszynski, Director of Warsaw - Radom Airport, who highlighted the airport's keen interest in connectivity with the region.
Both Mr. Nikolettos and Ms. Kalinowska referred to the opportunity for cooperative relations that are opening up for the two cities as well as to a possible twinning for the exchange of know-how and common experiences in matters of tourism, culture and development projects.
It is noted that the city of Radom is located in central Poland, 100 kilometers south of the capital of Poland, Warsaw, has more than 220 thousand residents and its airport is connected to Larnaca Airport, through which a large number of tourists visit the Famagusta district annually.
