The Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia, Mr. George Nikolettos, recently held a meeting with the Paralimni Lake Photography group of friends. During the meeting, the members of the group expressed various suggestions to the Mayor regarding the upgrading of the surrounding area of Paralimni Lake, the beautification of the area, and the creation of an observatory.
The Mayor told the members of the group that the Municipality's priorities include the issue of upgrading the Paralimni Lake area, the creation of a redevelopment plan, the installation of an observatory, as well as other work to upgrade the area so that it becomes friendlier to visitors to the area.
He emphasized that this is one of the most important wetlands on the island and that the Municipality's goal is to protect the natural environment as well as promote it.
