Nothing sweeter than our Union!

"No sweet homeland" Homer had said, almost three thousand years ago! We say "No sweet homeland and Union of Paralimni Youth", that is, nothing sweeter than our homeland and our Union!

On February 20, 1936, the Iraklis Paralimni Sports Club is founded! An important day for our progressive community. A day that was to be the beginning of a majestic course of 85 whole years!

Eight years later and specifically in September 1944, it was decided to unite Hercules with the other organized ensemble of Paralimni, the Reading Room "The Love of the People", with the second being dissolved and in a solemn assembly Hercules renamed the "Youth Union of Paralimni" !

In these 85 whole years, the Union has been and is the Lighthouse of all of us of Paralimni, with its banner, Tsolias and the Parthenon, waving arrogantly in the mast even in the worst storm!

We fought with our nails and teeth to be accepted in the KOP, since some people did not want us. Finally we succeeded and in 1969 as champions of the XNUMXnd Division, we were promoted to the Grand Division! We were proud of our constant presence in the First Division, even if we were not claimed or rather they did not let us celebrate a title. Many different reasons led us to the Second Division and since then we have been fighting with gods and demons to regain our old glory.

The Union, however, remains an idea, friends, an idea that has remained indelible in time, even though the absence of great successes has unfortunately made many people from Paralimni turn their backs.

Those of us who remain, we must declare daily loyalty and love to this Association! The Association of our father, our grandfather, our ancestors! The Association of EOKA, of Saint York, of our dozens of honored dead, of little Iakovos! The pride of the Association of the people of Paralimni! The Paralimni Youth Union!
