Deep mourning in the family of the Paralimni Youth Union, as Theodoros Kolokoudias, one of the most important personalities in the history of the association, passed away.
The announcement of ENP
"Have a good journey into the light, Theodore Kolokoudias.."
A man who served the Union with his entire life has passed away.
With deep sadness, the family of the Paralimni Youth Union bids farewell today to Theodoros Kolokoudias, one of the most important personalities in the history of our Union. A man whose name is inextricably linked to the Union, with the greatest moments and the brightest pages of its history.
Theodoros Kolokoudias was born in 1938 in Paralimni and from a very young age dedicated himself to sports. He was a Pancyprian champion in the 100 meters and the decathlon, before writing his own unique story in football and, above all, in his beloved Union.
For more than 30 years, he faithfully served our team as a coach. He started from the youth teams and reached the first team, leaving an indelible mark on generations of football players and associating his name with some of the most important successes of our Club:
• 4 Cup finals
• A 2nd place in the championship
• Twice in 3rd place
• The Union's first and only European victory, in the Cup Winners' Cup.
However, Theodoros Kolokoudias' contribution cannot be captured only through titles, positions and numbers.
It was his daily presence. His love for the team. The dedication, modesty, kindness and ethos with which he served the emblem of the Tsolias for more than three decades.
Today the Union is not just saying goodbye to a former coach.
She is saying goodbye to one of her own people. A part of her history. A man who connected his life with the Union and left behind a legacy that will remain alive for generations to come.
The funeral of the late Theodoros Kolokoudias will be held today, Wednesday, August 12, at 17:00 PM, at the Church of Saint George in Paralimni.
The Youth Union of Paralimni participates in the heavy mourning of his family and loved ones and expresses its sincere and warm condolences.
The Union will never forget you. Its history will forever carry your name.
"May your memory be eternal and may the earth that will cover you be light."
