Speaking on SIGMA's "Noon and Something" show, o DIKO MP Christos Orfanidis, who in the past has sent a letter to the Minister of the Interior requesting the cessation of transport for very specific reasons, said that the Ministry should investigate specific events, which it has not investigated.

From his side, Mayor of Paralimni Theodoros Pirillis He noted that the relocation process had begun four years ago, expressing the view that "Larnaca has been guarding the Famagusta District for 43 years."
He pointed out that the employees who work at the Larnaca Land Registry and the Famagusta Town Planning, and who are in Larnaca, do not want to leave, are protesting and going to meetings during working hours, dealing with how the relocation will stop.

"Mr. Orphanides' position is to reward these people, who should have completed the procedures four years ago," accusing them of obstructing them.

The bloodshed erupted when Mr. Pyrillis said he had recorded and videotaped testimonies from third parties, in which he was cursed and accused of the matter, with Mr Orphanides pointing out that this was an illegal practice.

For his part, the DIKO MP said he was focusing on the issue of irregularities, reiterating that he was not opposed to the possibility of moving services, but that they should be done legally.

He stressed that in order to address the issue "by default", this means that there was a problem, with the Mayor of Paralimni answering that the Municipality is the financial authority, saying that the derogation was necessary when, at the beginning of the work, it had to Some corrective action will be taken after the issuance of a very strict building permit.

Afterwards, Mr. Pyrillis expressed the view that some people want to keep the development of the Famagusta District stuck and to take care of it, being in other provinces.
