The contracts between the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia and the company N. Gabriel & Sons LTD for the construction of a modern and functional Multi-Storey Parking Lot on Antonis Papadopoulou Street in the Municipal District of Paralimni were signed on Monday, January 27, 2025.
The Multi-Storey Parking Lot that will be built in the center of Paralimni, next to the Paralimni Municipal Hall, will include a basement, ground floor, first floor and a semi-open-air second floor and will have a capacity of 296 parking spaces, of which 17 spaces will be for people with disabilities and 3 for electric cars.
At the same time, there will be three elevators for the convenience and service of citizens. The completion of the Project is expected to greatly reduce the parking problem observed in the center of Paralimni and will help in the recovery of traffic in the commercial center of the City.
In his statements, the Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia, Mr. George Nikolettos, stated that this is a very important project which will contribute to decongesting the center of Paralimni from vehicle parking, pedestrian traffic, as well as serving the public due to the planned configuration of the square and the central core of Paralimni.
The construction of the Multi-Storey Parking Lot is expected to begin in February and will last 18 months according to the contract signed.
This specific tender was announced in January 2024. The cost of the Project amounts to €6.762.520 and is co-financed by five-sixths (5/6) by the Department of Urban Planning and Housing, as an Urban Planning Project.
The architects and supervisors of the Project are the office AF MODINOS & SA VRAHIMIS CHARTERED ARCHITECTS & ENGINEERS.
