The new Queen of the Famagusta Carnival 2026, Mrs. Adamantini Kosma, was presented today, Thursday, January 22, 2026, at a press conference held at the Paralimni - Deryneia Town Hall.
During the presentation, the Deputy Mayor of Paralimni, Mr. Kleanthis Koutsoftas, thanked Ms. Kosma for accepting the invitation and invited young and old to enjoy the special events of the Famagusta Carnival, culminating in the great Carnival Parade on Sunday, February 22, 2026, which will take place in Paralimni.

Ms. Adamantini Kosma expressed her joy and emotion for being chosen to play the role of the Queen of the Famagusta Carnival, noting that this is a moment she has dreamed of since childhood and that a dream is coming true. At the same time, she expressed her certainty that this year's Famagusta Carnival will be the best ever organized, inviting young and old to participate in the events and the grand carnival parade.

The Chairman of the Culture Committee of the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia, Mr. Costas Michael, stated that the Famagusta Carnival is “the warmest and friendliest carnival in Cyprus” and noted that the Municipality has prepared a rich program of events for all ages. Among other things, the program includes the Queen’s coronation event on the afternoon of Tsiknopempti, February 12, the Evening Podarati Parade and the party in the square on Saturday, February 21, as well as the grand Carnival Parade on Sunday, February 22, 2026.
