PASYKI speaks of "second category" kidney patients in the province of Famagusta in its announcement.
In a related announcement, it is stated that hemopurifications in the afternoons and on holidays are performed without a nephrologist, while emergency hemopurifications may not be performed.
In the outpatient nephrology clinics, it is added, now only one Nephrologist works and patients are served if they find an appointment and "provided, of course, that they are not canceled by the Administration".
In relation to the on-call nephrologists, it is stated that they take place "as long as the Administration allows it" and "in the best of circumstances" patients may be treated by the on-call Physician-Pathologist, one of the three remaining, as noted.
