Petros Assiotis: The Secret Army of Turkey

After the illegal Turkish invasion of our country, and the war crimes of ethnic cleansing and settlement, almost two hundred thousand compatriots fled because of those tragic days, emigrated to various countries. As legal immigrants in foreign countries, they work integrated into local communities without, of course, losing their national roots. We mention these as some NGOs that make a lot of money on the issue of illegal immigrants and try to compare illegal immigration with the completely legal Cypriot refugees in foreign countries.

Our country now receives large inflows of "refugees" or illegal immigrants from Turkey, mostly women and children, stacked in boats dangerous for such a trip. Duty was towed safely by the cops of the Police with all the competent services ready to offer what was needed under the legal procedures in such cases to these seemingly afflicted creatures.

Recently, you have started to notice a new phenomenon that, in our opinion and that will probably affect the security of our country in the future, both now or in time of hostilities on the part of the occupier. We are talking about these groups of young people who claim to be Syrians, most likely jihadists or fanatical Muslims who arrive in recent months either by speedboats from Turkey, not by rotten boats but by modern speedboats. They usually reach numbers of about thirty men, usually accompanied by only one woman with one or two children, perhaps as a cover. Last but not least, perhaps in order for Turkey not to bother them at sea, it brings them to the occupied territories and then they cross into the free areas through the perforated line of opposition.

The recent incidents with illegal immigrants, murders, drug trafficking and more have worried all the legal citizens of the Republic of Cyprus, perhaps even the State. Especially the news that a Moroccan asylum seeker who came to us from the occupied territories and is involved in terrorist acts has been circulating freely among us since 2018 !!!. It is obvious that Turkey is sending us its own secret army with an organized plan, which in case of a conflict that it will cause, will use this secret army to act in the rear with sabotage and other things. It is also an army for which Turkey does not spend cents as we provide it with housing, feed it and give it to it and in addition give it money for its better living. !!!!

The danger to our country from the occupying forces encamping in our occupied land in an offensive line combined with this secret army they have created in the free areas is very great. Our only security, the National Guard, needs immediate upgrading with new weapons systems and the assistance of the reserve and police forces in exercises. Both to repel the occupying forces in case of an attempt to advance them and exercises within cities to deal with this secret army of Turkey.

It is a pleasant fact that the new Minister of Interior has taken the issue of irregular immigration seriously with the first goal of reducing it. We hope that in a second stage it will follow the example of Spain with mass deportations. We believe that everyone, wherever necessary, must contribute to this work.
