In Greek mythology there is a reference to Minos who after defeating the Athenians in the war, set a condition and the Athenians sent nine young men and women to Crete to be devoured by the Minotaur who was not satisfied with blood. Theseus, the son of King Aegeas, decided to put an end to this barbarism, took the place of a young man and set sail for Crete. There he met the Ariadne daughter of King Minos who fell in love with him, he gave him a skein of thread to the Mito of Ariadne, when he killed the Minotaur so that he could get out of his labyrinth.
The modern Minotaur, the Turkish, after devouring our flesh and lives in 74, kept the Land of our Fathers as booty. Like the Minotaur of Minos, he is not satisfied either and in conversations that take place he asks for new sacrifices from us. Unfortunately, our current leaders, like modern Athenians, have given and still give him whatever sacrifice he asks of us.
Recently, the Settlers and the remaining Turkish Cypriots promoted Ersin Tatar as their leader, as always a mannequin of the Turkish Minotaur. As usual, a meeting was arranged between our Negotiator and the President of the Republic of Cyprus. It is our view that our Negotiator should not have gone to that meeting. Tatar, as a spokesman for the Turkish Minotaur, had begun work to settle the besieged city of Famagusta, and Erdogan said he would have a picnic there, with Turkish drilling rigs inside our EEZ.
As a basic principle, the Negotiator had to ask us to stop the work for the settlement of the enclosed area and other Turkish violations before the meeting. Instead, he simply met Tatar at a dinner hosted by UN Special Representative Spehart. After dinner, our Negotiator said in statements that they agreed with Tatar, that they disagree on everything but he would go on to take part in a so-called informal pentagram to be organized by Mr. Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations. A five-member party that will be absent, the Republic of Cyprus, as Czechoslovakia was absent when discussing its future in the Munich Pact and the surrender of its territories to appease the other Minotaur, Hitler.
The spearhead of the leadership of the three major parties, proven not to be their base, as well as that of our Negotiator is the forty-six year failed policy of the Bi-Zonal Bicommunal Federation. Although lately in dark corridors and behind closed doors the solution of the two states is whispered here and there. Which will have the same bad result for our country as it is Bisexual with another wrapping paper. In the end, this failed policy has only brought sacrifices to appease the Turkish Minotaur since negotiations began.
So let's go to a so-called informal five-party conference on Passion Week. In the absence of the rule of law, everyone wants to ratify his death sentence, renaming it for cover as an evolution of the Republic of Cyprus. In fact, there are rumors that we will make other sacrifices to the Turkish Minotaur who will be given the name MOE. It is rumored that we will cede part of the FIR of the Republic of Cyprus to Turkey in exchange for stopping the settlement of the enclosed area of Famagusta and refraining from illegal activities in its EEZ. If and when he takes these sacrifices of ours, the Turkish Minotaur will growl again and will ask for more as always.
There is an urgent need for Theseus to claim the right solution to the occupation problem that plagues us, a democratic solution, a state, a man, a vote.
