In all serious countries, they have good governance through their democratic institutions. They plan the future of their countries on serious issues, such as the country's security, economy, education, health with plans in the medium term but also in the depth of decades. That is why in democracies where good administration prevails, they always have really prosperous economies, not just on paper.

There is also a member state of the European Union, known as the Country of Today. Since its founding, this country has been governed by what its current president thinks in his wisdom. No medium, long-term or long-term planning. It goes without saying that this country is no other than our beautiful rocky islet.

So in the Country of Today, any plan, if any, is short-term, at best for the term of office of each president. What is worse is that the Country of Today does not even have a medium-term plan for the defense and security of its population from the occupier and hostile Turkey. Therefore, we see the Turkish illegal invader, one threatening us and one mocking us. It is not enough that we lost our land with the illegal invasion in 74, we lose lands and in time of "peace".

The Turks advanced twice to Strovilia, with the prospect of a given moment that would serve if necessary, their interests, to cut off Kokkinochoria. We, like modern ostriches, hide our heads in the sand so that we do not see, believing that it will be a miracle when we come out of the sand.

Now in a time of "peace" they took the enclosed city of Famagusta. We were told for a long time that they would do it, but we were deaf, in fact we had a meeting with Attilar Ersin Tatar a few days before Erdogan visited the area for a picnic as a modern-day Lala Mustafa. To agree with him that we disagree on everything, but paradoxically we announced that we will go to Pentameri. Simple logic says that since we disagree on everything with Ersin Tatar, and therefore with his master, Turkey, then why go unconditionally to the Pentameri? Where will we have to deal beyond the occupying Turkey, the insidious British and perhaps with our only support Greece, most likely as substitutes on the bench?

Of course, from 74 until today we have never claimed a single piece of land from our occupied territories, Kyrenia, Morphou, Karpasia where the yeast of the Hellenism of Cyprus lives, our Caged. We did not even claim the enclosed city of Famagusta, regardless of whether there were strong Security Council resolutions for the whole of Famagusta, not only the enclosed city.

Of course in the Country of Today, since we live in a world of illusions, what do we care about all this? Where we do not realize that the elite of the country amass the wealth of the country, by legitimate or illegitimate means, and many are below or on the verge of poverty. When without long-term national planning and with illusions we will lose the Country of Today in a bad Anglo-Turkish solution, the elected will run away to the foreigners where they kept their treasures. But many of us will remain like giants north to the most barbaric people, the Turks, locals and from Turkey.

If we do not reject the stern and all together like a fist, establish a nationwide policy of dealing with the Turkish occupation to be followed by all governments, then the Country of Today will suffer as well as Alexandretta, today's province of Hatay in Turkey. When we get out of the illusions, we will also be a province of Turkey without a single shot being fired. Then it will be too late for the Hellenism of Cyprus.
