The event for Volunteerism in the spirit of Christmas was held at the multipurpose center of the Municipal District of Liopetri with the message "CHRISTMAS VOLUNTEERISM LOVE"
The event was organized by the Community Policing Unit of the Famagusta Police Department in collaboration with the Famagusta District Volunteering Coordinating Council (DVC) and the Municipality of Ayia Napa. The event was held under the auspices of the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zanettos.
The event was welcomed with relevant speeches by the president of the District Coordinating Council for Volunteering, the deputy mayor Sotiras, who represented the mayor of Ayia Napa, the president of the Pancyprian Coordinating Council for Volunteering and the Head of Community Policing of the Famagusta Police Department, Lt.1593 Pierakis Glykainos. In addition to the speeches, the event included an artistic program with Christmas melodies by the Police Philharmonic, which participated with 18 members. Also during the event, honorary plaques were presented to volunteers of the Famagusta District.
The event was also attended by the Head of the Xylofagou Police Station, Deputy Mayor D. Prokopiou on behalf of the Chief of Police, the Deputy Mayor of the Avgorou District, representatives of organized groups of the Famagusta District and approximately 200 people.
The event was a complete success.
