102 migrants from Syria, who arrived in the area of Cape Greco last Thursday, May 20, disembarked at the fishing shelter of Agios Nikolaos in Protaras.
According to the Police, the boat with the immigrants was located by the radars of the Port and Maritime Police, around 13.30 last Thursday, May 20, 14 nautical miles northeast of Cape Greco.

Akatos Police went to the area and stopped the boat, which was carrying a total of 102 people, 34 men, 20 women and 48 minor children.
It was initially decided that the boat, accompanied by the Port and Maritime Police, would be headed to Larnaca, but then the migrants remained on board under the discreet surveillance of the Police.
Today it was decided that the boat with the 102 migrants be taken to the fishing shelter of Agios Nikolaos in Protaras.
At around 11.30, the migrants disembarked at the fishing shelter and are staying in tents set up by the Civil Defense until their details are recorded and a coronavirus test is performed.
The immigrants will then be escorted by the Police to the Temporary Accommodation Center "Pournara" in Kokkinotrimithia.
