The police are investigating the circumstances under which a 69-year-old woman was injured after a tree fell, yesterday afternoon, in the province of Famagusta. The 69-year-old is being treated at the General Hospital of Famagusta, with her state of health being out of danger.
According to the data under investigation, shortly after 3.00:69 pm on Wednesday, while the 69-year-old woman and her husband were walking on foot in an area in Paralimni, a tree was cut down and hit her when it fell, resulting in her injury. Members of the Police and Fire Service rushed to the scene and helped free the XNUMX-year-old woman, who was then taken to Famagusta General Hospital for medical examinations.
From the tests carried out at the scene, it was established that at the scene of the accident, gardening work was being done in the restaurant area during which a worker cut down the tree with an electric tree trimmer that fell and hit the 69-year-old woman.
The 69-year-old suffered a fractured spine, a fractured chest, and a broken leg.
