The number of sales documents submitted in April 29 to the provincial cadastral offices across Cyprus increased by 2018%, compared to April 2017, with free Famagusta holding the scepter of real estate demand last month, showing an impressive increase of 79%, followed by from Nicosia with an increase of 46%.
In the first four months, the increase in Cyprus reaches 38%, compared to the corresponding four months last year, with Famagusta recording an impressive increase of 76%.
Specifically, according to data released on Wednesday by the Department of Lands and Surveys, the number of sales documents filed in April 2018 nationwide rose to 655, compared to 506 in April last year.
During the period January - April 2018, the increase in the number of sales documents nationwide reached 38% or 2.784, compared to 2.011 in the corresponding period last year.
By province, in Nicosia the number of sales documents increased in April 2018 by 46% and amounted to 117, compared to April 2017, while in Limassol an increase of 28% was recorded to 246.
In Larnaca the increase in sales documents reached 20%, at 83, in free Famagusta 79% at 52 and in Paphos 15%, at 157.
Moreover, in the period January - April 2018, the number of sales documents increased by 76% in Famagusta, compared to the corresponding period last year, by 60% in Nicosia, by 42% in Limassol, by 36% in Paphos and by 7 % in Larnaca.
