Issues related to the development of a series of actions focused on the person himself, regarding education and training, but also the improvement of conditions by providing facilities to the teachers of trapped and resettled children in our schools in Rizokarpasos, were discussed by the Head of Humanitarian Affairs Missing and Imprisoned, Anna Aristotelous, with a representative of the teachers who serve at the six-grade Gymnasium of Rizokarpasos, Evangelos Foukas.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Education, during the meeting suggestions were exchanged and actions were agreed with the aim of upgrading education and improving conditions at the six-grade school in Rizokarpasos, so that stranded and resettled children have the same opportunities as all children who they attend the schools of the free areas.
Mrs. Aristotelous reiterated that her Service, the Minister of Education and the President of the Republic himself invest in and support education and therefore promote actions and actions in the schools of our occupied villages, in order to provide all the necessary guarantees, recognizing the difficulties and problems.
At the same time, he informed Mr. Foukas that "in the context of the people-centered policy of the Governance Program, after evaluating the current situation, and with the aim of facilitating the work of the teachers who serve under difficult conditions in the occupied schools in Rizokarpasos and Kormakitis and come and go through the crossing point of Agios Dometios, we proceeded to implement their perennial request, so that they pass through the special lane for vehicles to serve them faster.
It is recalled that "the special lane we opened is used by vehicles, with which parents transport their trapped and resettled children who attend schools and tutoring centers in the free areas and return to their homes in our occupied villages, as well as the two buses that transport mainly elderly people in hospitals in the free zones".
According to the announcement, the purpose of this arrangement is to facilitate the education provided to our trapped and resettled children through the support and motivation of the few teachers who teach in the occupied schools in Rizokarpasos and Kormakitis, exercising a function, so that they are facilitated to the greatest extent possible during their passage to the occupied territories and not to wait for a long period of time, since the delay in the Roadblock burdens the already burdened state of operation of the schools and the education of our children under conditions of occupation.
Mrs. Aristotelous conveyed, through Mr. Foukas, the congratulations of the President of the Republic to all the teachers who serve in the schools in our occupied villages, recognizing the difficult role and the work they undertake, within the special conditions of the schools, with a degree difficulty greater than other schools, excepting their readiness and dedication to offer under these difficult conditions, which prove their strong will and unparalleled commitment to serve the education of the place.
He also pointed out that the joint effort with students and parents to achieve the best possible results is confirmed by the successes and positive results of the stranded students.
