Two graduates of Rizokarpaso High School have today registered with the Medical School and the Department of Turkish and Middle Eastern Studies of the University of Cyprus.

According to a statement from the University, after completing the registration process for the Office of Studies and Student Welfare, the Rector of the University, Professor Konstantinos Christofidis, welcomed the two new students to his office and thanked them for their choice to study at the University of Cyprus.

"The experiences of the young people of Rizokarpaso are in themselves a driving force of creativity. In addition, for the trapped people, the transition from school to university is a bigger challenge than any other news on the island ", he said and assured them that the university will be a supporter in this new journey of knowledge and experiences.

Addressing the student of the Medical School, he expressed the belief that he would work as a doctor in a free Rizokarpaso.

The University of Cyprus already has 5 trapped students in the Departments of Education (Primary Education) and Turkish and Middle Eastern Studies. A total of 15 trapped students have graduated from the University of Cyprus.
