Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhürman visited the schools of Rizokarpaso yesterday to gain a direct view of the situation.
In particular, Mr. Erhürman went to the occupied Rizokarpaso, where he visited the Primary School and the High School where the trapped students are studying. According to a relevant announcement from his office, he toured the school classrooms and had the opportunity to talk with the students and teachers.
During the visit, he met with the principal of the Primary School, Katerina Ktisti, and the principal of the Secondary School, Ilias Evripidou. The two teachers informed him about the general operation of the schools, thanked him for the visit and offered him a commemorative gift.
As part of the same tour, he then visited the "Recep Tayyip Erdogan" school operating illegally in the occupied village, where he met with the staff. Concluding his contacts, he expressed his satisfaction with the meeting with the students, stating that the main objective of his visit was precisely to record and evaluate the needs of the schools on the peninsula.
