Books for students in Rizokarpaso from a private school

A delegation of teachers and students of the Greek School GC SCHOOL of CAREERS and the Parents' Association of the school handed over today to the Commissioner of the Presidency Fotis Fotiou books for the students of the schools of the occupied Rizokarpasos.

A statement from the Presidency states that Mr. Fotiou thanked the students for their initiative, but also the school management, the Parents' Association, the teachers, the parents, as well as all those who helped to carry out the commendable action.

"The students of the school, however, deserve special praise, not only for their initiative, but also for the very warm embrace they offer with their deed to the trapped students of our schools in the occupied Rizokarpaso. It is an act that gives meaning to values, as it reflects brotherhood and love and is an example to be imitated. "Their sensitivity for our children in the occupied Rizokarpaso makes us all proud," he said, addressing the children.

He added that such actions, especially by children their age, send practical messages of love and solidarity, and help them continue to fight in difficult circumstances for the progress and life they deserve.
He also assured that in the effort for the reunification of our homeland, as well as for the improvement of the living conditions of our entire population, children are the first in our thoughts as the future belongs to the new generations and for them we spend our efforts.

"Especially for our students in the occupied Rizokarpaso, I want to emphasize that for us it is a priority to support them in every possible way, with the hope that our country will soon be reunited, the occupation will end and in peace and security, we will move forward. "Ahead, looking forward to a better and more promising future for all," he said.

Mr. Fotiou met earlier with a delegation of students of the Pascal English School from Limassol and spoke to them about the humanitarian issues of the missing and trapped.
