For another year, the beloved charity race Run For Autism returns on March 29, 2026 and registrations are already open!
On this occasion, 77-year-old Linda McMenemy shares her own special story:
Linda, 77, a British woman and permanent resident of Cyprus, participated in a running race for the first time and she did it! On April 6, 2025, she completed her first 5km race at Run For Autism, proving that it is never too late to set new goals.
With stubbornness and dedication, she not only surpassed her personal limits, but also achieved something even more important: raising 400 euros in sponsorships from the local community for Autism Support Famagusta!
Linda said she felt a little nervous before the race, but enjoyed every moment. When asked if she would participate again next year, she replied that she would love to and might even try the 10km! Autism Support Famagusta would like to express a huge thank you to Linda for her initiative and we look forward to seeing her again next year!
