The Municipality of Ayia Napa swept the Cyprus Events Awards 2022

His assurance that the Municipality of Ayia Napa will continue to organize cultural events of high aesthetics and implement innovative initiatives, so as to offer its visitors quality services, was given last night (Thursday, November 24) by the Mayor, Mr. Christos Zannettos, during the ceremony of awarding the of Cyprus Events Awards 2022, held at the Event Center of Marina Ayia Napa.

Receiving the awards, two golds in the Cultural Event category, for the unique Pan-Cypriot "Medieval Festival", for the exceptional events held at the Open Museum/Sculpture Park, the silver in the same event category for the events of Cypriot tradition entitled " Flashes, which he organizes with great success in conjunction with the manual demonstrations of traditional professions at the Folk Art Museum "Agrotospito" and the Bronze for the 37th International Festival in the Tourist Event category, with which the Municipality honors with this great event the World Day of Tourism, after thanking the organizers for the high-level organization and for establishing the said awards, he added that due to the great importance the Municipality gives to the Cultural sector, because without Culture, as he pointed out, there can be no tourism, he increased the amount in the budget has doubled in the last two years of the Municipality related to Culture.

The Mayor of Ayia Napa dedicated the awards to the citizens, to his collaborators, especially to the Cultural Officer of the Municipality, Mrs. Maria Tofini Tsantila, to whom he expressed his heartfelt thanks for her great contribution to the perfect organization of the events, to all contributors and to locals and foreigners visitors .

Also present at the event was the member of the Municipal Council Ms. Tasoula Tsokki, the Municipal Secretary Mr. Fotos Kikillos and the Cultural Officer Ms. Maria Tofini Tsantila.
