Simos Ioannou: "The occupied communities must live"

Simos Ioannou, who is supported by AKEL, submitted a candidacy for Mayor of Famagusta.

In a statement after submitting his candidacy this morning, Mr. Ioannou called on the voters of Famagusta and the occupied municipalities to exercise the sacred duty of voting, adding that "the occupied communities must live, they must exist, that's why everyone must they go to vote".

Mr. Ioannou said that "I want to promise the people of Famagusta, as for 35 years I have been serving this municipality in various positions, I will continue, if I am elected, with the same strength, with the same courage, I will serve my city, because unique our purpose with collective, humility is to work to return back to our beloved city".
