A man who was in the sea area of Sotira for swimming with his wife was pulled out dead at 7:30 tonight.

According to information from Famagusta.News from the Press Office of the Police, a 65-year-old Greek Cypriot from Sotira Famagusta was in the sea in the area of Agia Thekla for swimming with his wife, when at some point he seems to have lost consciousness.
His wife called for help and citizens who were in the area rushed to the water and dragged him ashore.
An ambulance was called and he was taken to the General Hospital of Famagusta, where the doctors on duty confirmed his death.
The exact causes of death are expected to be revealed by performing the legalized autopsy after the results for the coronavirus test are completed, while it will be investigated whether his death came from pathological causes.
