Police are close to investigating the number of burglaries and thefts after the arrest of a 60-year-old woman in the province of Famagusta.
The 60-year-old was arrested last Sunday night, April 15, by members of the Police, on the basis of a court order and was detained for facilitating investigations into a burglary of a house committed around 1:40 pm last Saturday, April 14th, in the province. .
During the investigation of the case, the 60-year-old confessed to the investigators of TAE Famagusta the commission of a total of six burglaries and thefts in Sotira and Xylofagou, as well as a burglary which he allegedly committed in the province of Paphos.
The 60-year-old's home was searched by members of the Police, who found a number of jewelry and watches in the house, which are believed to have been stolen during the above burglary.
The 60-year-old was re-arrested yesterday at noon in her detention center on the basis of a new court order, in order to facilitate the investigations concerning the above cases.
