Annual National Memorial of the Fallen and Missing, Sotiras Military District

After the Memorial Service, a Trisagion will follow.

The Sotira Municipal District of the Municipality of Ayia Napa, in collaboration with the Relatives of the Fallen and Missing of Sotira, will hold on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., at the Church of the Resurrection of Christ the Savior in Sotira, the Annual Religious Memorial of the Fallen Heroes and the Prayer for the Finding of the Missing of the Sotira Municipal District, during the Turkish Invasion of 1974.

The memorial speech will be delivered by the Member of Parliament of the Democratic Rally of Famagusta and Member of the Parliamentary Committee for Refugees - Trapped - Missing - Suffering, Mr. Nikos Georgiou.

After the Memorial Service, there will be a Trisagion and an artistic program at the Sotiras Monument to the Fallen and Missing.

It will be preceded at 8:30 a.m. by the Sotiras Reserve Commandos march from the Sotiras Cemetery - Chapel of Panagia Chryseleoussa to the Sotiras Monument to the Fallen and Missing.

Instead of wreaths, those interested can contribute with contributions to support the Sotiras Committee for the Relatives of the Fallen and Missing.

Your presence is an act of remembrance, honor and national responsibility towards those who sacrificed or are still missing for the homeland.
