The Cyprus Theatre Organization is touring the Sotiras Municipal Theatre of the Municipality of Ayia Napa on Wednesday, March 04, 2026, at 20:30 PM, with Loula Anagnostaki's shocking play "To You Who Hear Me", directed by Thanasis Georgiou.

To You Who Hear Me, written in 2003, is Loula Anagnostaki's last play and one of the most powerful and multi-layered contemporary texts of post-war Greek theater. With her penetrating and sensitive writing, Anagnostaki composes a shattered world where politics and history intersect with personal experience.
Director Thanasis Georgiou and an exceptional cast of performers and other contributors are called upon to serve a work that is impressively alive today, transforming the closed Berlin room into an open arena of silent protest, in which the private is intertwined with the public and the individual with the collective experience.

A few words about the project:
Nine people meet in an apartment in multicultural Berlin. Outside, the city is in turmoil – rallies, incidents, riots. Agis, a writer, prepares for a peace-loving forum against globalization, while Sofia pursues an illegal but promising transaction. Suddenly, the echo of the city invades the “inside” and turns into an imaginary demonstration.
One person after another speaks to an imaginary audience, bringing up traumas, hidden desires, and unfulfilled expectations.
This deeply confessional discourse, sometimes ironic and sometimes humorous, with its subterranean markings and its visual and sound cues, becomes a confrontation with memory, strangeness and uncertainty; a cut that reveals internal cracks and collective ruptures, absolute loneliness and existential deprivation.
