The Little Rebetes honored the "patriarch" of rebetiko, Markos Vamvakaris, with a great concert. The concert took place on the evening of Sunday, February 02, 2025, at the packed Municipal Theater of the Sotiras Municipal District, and was a huge success.

The most famous and timeless songs of the great composer were heard, such as "Your eyelids are shining", "Frangosyriani", "Dawns are three o'clock", "Your jealous eyes", "You build your nest high", "All the Rebetes of the world", "I fell ill in foreign lands", "Black eyes, black eyebrows", "I got engaged", "The prisons are ringing", and many other beloved songs, which the audience softly sang while at the end of the performance warmly applauded the performers and all the participants for the very remarkable event they presented, honoring the lord of rebetiko as he deserved.

The Little Rebetes were accompanied by the renowned musicians Andreas Georgiou on the three-string bouzouki, Kyriakos Gouventas on the violin/baglama, Leontis Georgiou on the accordion, Alexandros Charalambous on the guitar, Chrysostomos Fragkis and Melios Theodorou on the percussion.

The performance was attended by the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou, who congratulated the "Little Rebetes", especially their manager, Mr. George Dimitriou, as well as the great Greek violinist, Mr. Kyriakos Gouventas, as well as the traditional composer, lyricist and songwriter, Mr. Michalis Hadjimichael and all the contributors.

The event with the Youth Choir "Little Rebetes" under the guidance and artistic direction of our friend George Dimitriou, he added, "is a great example that the upgrading and enrichment of artistic activities in all Municipal Districts is one of our primary goals and something that will showcase the entire Municipality and promote culture while at the same time supporting education."
