The Municipality of Ayia Napa invites you to the festive celebrations of the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Savior, which will take place in Sotira, on Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 August 2026.
The Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou, and the Deputy Mayor of Sotira, Mr. Antonis Koumis, extend an open invitation to the residents and all believers to participate in the religious events and celebrate this great feast of Orthodoxy.
On Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 7:00 p.m., a Solemn Vespers will be celebrated at the Holy Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior and at 8:00 p.m. the procession of the Holy Icon will follow.
The celebrations will continue on Thursday, August 6, 2026 with the Solemn Morning Service and Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, celebrated by His Holiness Metropolitan of Constantia and Famagusta, Mr. Vasileios, at 6:30 a.m., while at 9:45 a.m. the procession of the Holy Icon will take place.
