The Municipality of Ayia Napa (Sotiras Municipal District) is pleased to announce the organization of the 5th Evening of Kolokasio Tasting, which will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 19:30 PM, in the courtyard of the Holy Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior.
The event is part of the Pancyprian Taro Festival, which is held every two years, with the aim of highlighting and promoting this local product, as well as presenting it through innovative gastronomic approaches and recipes.
Kolokasi Sotiras, which has already received the "Designation of Origin (PDO)" certification from the European Union, is a trademark of the region and an important element of our gastronomic heritage.
During the event, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy free unique dishes, traditional, alternative and gourmet creations based on Sotiras yam, which will be presented by distinguished chefs and cooks. The audience will learn about new proposals for utilizing yam in modern cuisine and will have the opportunity to try authentic flavors, inspired by our local tradition.
The evening will be accompanied by a rich artistic program with the beloved Cypriot performer Stavros Konstantinou and his orchestra, offering a unique musical experience to all attendees.
