A fatal road collision occurred early today on Agias Thekla Avenue in Sotira, with the victim being 19-year-old Christina Achilleos, from Sotira.
According to the information under examination, at around 01.30, a car driven by a 19-year-old man, with a 20-year-old co-driver and two 19-year-old female passengers in the back seats, under circumstances that are being investigated, veered off course at some point on the road and crashed into a concrete tank wall, where it came to a halt.
Achilleos was fatally injured, while the driver and passenger were injured and were initially transferred to Famagusta General Hospital and then to Larnaca General Hospital for further examinations.
The second 19-year-old passenger, due to the criticality of her condition, was transferred to Nicosia General Hospital for treatment.
The Famagusta Traffic Police continues the examinations.
