In Sotira, the Ministry of Education for the Youth Information Center

The Minister of Education and Culture, Costas Kadis, will be in Sotira today at 11 in the morning, who will address the inauguration of the new Youth Information Center of Famagusta province to the Savior.

A press release of the Municipality of Sotira states that "with the creation and operation of the Youth Information Center of Famagusta Province, the physical presence of the Cyprus Youth Organization - the competent state body for youth issues - will now cover geographically all the provinces of Cyprus if there are already Centers Youth Information Center (KEPLI) in Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos as well as in Agros ".

For this very reason, it is added "the creation of the Famagusta District Youth Information Center is particularly important since through its physical presence in all provinces the Youth Organization ensures equal access of the youth of our place to its programs and services as well as the immediate information of young people about the opportunities for education, training, mobility and volunteering provided both in Cyprus and abroad ".

The Famagusta District Youth Information Center "is implemented in collaboration with the Municipality of Sotiras, which has shouldered the lease of the space where the Information Center is hosted. The Center will be open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11.30 to 18.30 and, like the rest of KEPLI, will operate according to the standards of the Youth Information Centers of Europe ".

It is noted that "the purpose of KEPLI is to provide the first general information on a series of issues related to the interests of young people, in a comfortable, modern and above all friendly environment. At the same time, their goal is to guide young people in their first steps towards their full integration into society as independent individuals, but also to help them deal with the difficulties they face ".

The Center will offer information and counseling services (vocational guidance, psychological support), while all its services are offered free of charge. The Famagusta District Youth Information Center will also provide information and guidance on ONEK programs and services, information seminars / workshops / conferences, two-day training and information on policies and opportunities in Europe for young people, as KEPLI are the contact points of the European Eurodesk Cyprus Program ".

There will also be a "space for gatherings of groups of young people and organizations that deal with young people or for carrying out their own activities."

The inauguration of the new Youth Information Center of the Cyprus Youth Organization will be held on Saturday, January 13 at 11 am by the Minister of Education and Culture Costas Kadis.
