On Thursday, March 16, 2023, the opening of Photography Exhibitions with the themes: "Rays of Light - Women in the Holocaust" and "The Holocaust - How was it humanly possible?" took place with great success. at the Social Benefits Center of the Sotiras Municipality.
The event was graced by the presence and greeting of the Ambassador of Israel to Cyprus, Mr. Oren Anolik. They were also greeted by the Mayor of Sotiras, Mr. Georgios Takkas, the Director of the "Peace and Freedom" Gymnasium-Lyceum of Deryneia - Sotiras, Ms. Fanis Sergiou, the Coordinator of the "Holocaust and Education" Program, Dr. Antonia Loizou, Inspector of Secondary Education Philology.
During the event, presentations on the Holocaust were made by educators - philologists and Cypriot songs by the late Kyriakos Pelagia were heard by Maria Dimitriou, a student of the "Peace and Eleftheria" High School - High School, D11 - 31.
The exhibition is co-organized by the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth, the "Peace and Freedom" High School and the Municipality of Sotiras and will be open to the public until March 22, 2023 daily from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. .
