Two young people in Sotira and Liopetri tested positive for narcotics

Members of the Famagusta Traffic Police during a traffic control on Sunday, February 9, proceeded to report two drivers for the offense of driving under the influence of drugs.

Specifically, according to the Police, at 11:50 on Sunday morning at Liopetri members of the Famagusta Traffic Police stopped a 25-year-old from the Free Province of Famagusta for control. During a preliminary examination of a drug test, it was found that while driving he was under the influence of drugs.

In the second case, at 8:40 on Sunday night at Sotira, 31-year-old was arrested as a small amount of dry cannabis plant substance was found in his possession. It was further established that he was driving under the influence of drugs after he tested positive for a preliminary drug test.
