The Municipal Library of the Sotiras Municipal District of the Municipality of Ayia Napa presents on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. the original educational program entitled "Books - Life Jackets". The program is aimed at children aged 8 to 12 and is implemented within the framework of the Deputy Ministry of Culture's program "Literacy Routes in Libraries".

The workshop is coordinated by museum educator Theodora Kolypera and is the first action in a series of educational experiential approaches that focus on children's relationship with books as a means of emotional empowerment and creative expression. Through the action "Books - Life Jackets" children are invited to discover the power of books as a source of learning and personal development.
The main objectives of the program are to strengthen emotional intelligence, recognize books as a refuge in difficult times, and cultivate a love of reading and a love of reading.

Participation is free and advance booking is required due to limited seating. For reservations and information, please contact 23-963134.

The program is a collaboration between the Cyprus Association of Librarians and Information Scientists with the Deputy Ministry of Culture and the Christina Apostolou Foundation, and is supported by the Municipality of Ayia Napa.
